Juan, you're in NYC? Not much (that I know of) right in the city, but there are a few places you can walk to fishable water by taking Metro North out into the surrounding areas. Harlem Line has a few stops near small trout streams; others too, though I'm less familiar with the specifics.

That should give you some ideas for further research.

Not trout or river fishing, but You can fish bass in central park

Central Park might be the best spot. what rod weight are you using? also, How far can you travel outside the city?
Juan, you do know this is Washington STATE fly fishing forum? Just about as far from NYC as Colombia.
Prospect Park has some of the best largemouth bass fishing in the state of New York. The lake is a short walk from the B, Q, and the Franklin Ave Shuttle. It is nice and quiet in the morning, then there are usually Jamaicans having a BBQ during the afternoon.

Do you have a car? It's tough fly fishing anywhere without a car. You might be able to take NJ Transit to Long Valley and fish the South Branch Raritan, or take LIRR, bring a 9-weight and fish those world class beaches. If you have car access, the Northeast has a wealth of trout fishing. Pennsylvania has many, many small streams with wild brown trout. The Catskills in lower Upstate have the Beaverkill, Neversink, East, West, and Big Delaware, Willowemoc, and countless smaller creeks with brook trout.

The hard part is getting the fuck out of the city, an undertaking that requires planning and cash.
