Howdy, just found the site. Haven't even had time to look through it much.
Here's a question for the club members out there. Do you/could you post when and where your club has scheduled outings? It would be nice to know in advance if a large group is going to fish a given lake. Nothing against clubs, but if I knew that there would be extra pressure on a lake I'd go somewhere else that day. Thanks

LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-01 AT 01:26 PM (PST)[p]Welcome,

There are numerous clubs out (dozens) and even when requested do not as a rule usually post their schedules to other mediums other than their own web sites. Moving forward if you have a specific lake in mind, find the local clubs and give them a call or if they have one visit their web site.

Being a newbie though I would suggest seeing clubs on the water as a positive experience. Many of those folks are accomplished fly anglers and greeted with a smile and polite request for tips will help you on your way.

My $0.02.

Tight lines,

Chris

I'm not new to flyfishing, just new to the website. Checking on the numerous club sites is too much work to do once or twice a week. It just is a little frustrating to be fishing a lake and have a caravan show up.

Understood. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Agreed that it can be a bit disappointed to have your peaceful setting turn into Lake Lenore in the spring time. I'll take it as a item to look into, maybe putting together a calendar that might pull together applicable events including those you'd like to stay clear of.

Why don't you just post where you'll be and I'll email the clubs not to go there.
For the past 17 years.

Thanks
