Hell ya!
Go Dawgs!
They finally got one. They definitely deserve it.

Here's a shitty cell phone photo of the Dawg fly I tied a few weeks back out of boredom

NFR: Warning, NFR: 68 mph from that close has to be tough to hit. Those pitchers not only pitch the whole game but they do it game after game after game. They beat Florida three times this year. Much deserved championship.

Woo Hoo. Woof!
Very cool. Been following the series for the last week now. I coached my girls teams for a few years. Watched with my youngest "baller". Been to coaching clinics with Heather Tarr.

It's always amazed me how fast a good pitcher can throw with that action. There's a young girl (5th grader now) that pitched for us a couple years. Incredible. Still a little wild but some day I expect to see her play college ball. She's gotta be in the 60mph range, even when she was 9. Pretty funny watching a new umpire dodging that first stray bullet, going "HOly SH*t!". I'd often give them a heads up before the game. She'll hit the backboard and you can hear it a block away.

I don't think I have seen as dominant a player in any sport recently as that Danielle Lawrie for the UW. I think she hits something like .275, her ERA is something like 0.80, and she will pitch an entire game! After game, after game . . . I think she had 24 strikeouts in an extra-innings game last week, and it was like her third game with over 20 strikeouts this year! National collegiate softball player of the year AND the MVP of the tournament. What a stud-ette.

Her parents have to be just popping at the seams. Not only an incredible athlete, but also seems to be a great person, too (even if she is Canadian - grin!).

How cool is a national championship!
