Trying to make some space in the garage and need to get rid of a bunch of things that are either not being used at all or are seldom-used. Most of these items are too large to ship so looking for local sales only (Seattle area). I've indicated a few items I'd be willing to ship for extra cost.
First up: Yakima roof rack that attaches to roof tops that have the old-style rain gutters. (I used it on an '72 BMW 2002tii but sold it years ago and have no use for this anymore.) It comes with accessories to transport two bikes. It's well-used but still totally functional - a rubber gasket for one of the feet that attaches to the rain gutter is missing but the foot functions fine without it. Will come with at least one key for the locking mechanism - will also throw in the spare if I can find it. $60.
Next up: Roof-rack accessories for hauling skis and bikes. (These are Volvo-badged but am pretty sure they were made by one of the big car rack companies like Thule or Yakima.) These work round or square bars up to 1 1/4" round. Only reason I am selling is that I have different rack systems on my vehicles and these don't work with them. I would love to get rid of these in one transaction. Each set will come with at least one key for the locking mechanism; will also throw in the spare if I can find it. $75 for all; $30 for ski racks and $45 for bike racks if sold separately. (I might consider shipping this stuff for actual shipping costs.)
Next up: Yakima hitch-mounted bike rack for up to 4 bikes. For 2" hitches. Has a lock on the hitch-mount hardware and a locking cable on the rack itself to secure bikes. This is a "swing-away" rack; can open the rack up while the rack is mounted to get access to the back of your vehicle. Well-used but fully functional. Will come with at least one key for the locking mechanism - will also throw in the spare if I can find it. $125.
Last: A Volvo-badged roof-top luggage box. I didn't get a great set of measurements but it's approximately 90" long X 26" wide X 15" deep. Should work on bars up to 1 1/2" wide. I've got it set up for bars that are spaced approximately 30" apart. The hardware that attaches to the bars is somewhat adjustable but it doesn't slide like some do; rather, you can use a couple of additional holes drilled in the bottom of the box to move the mounting hardware closer together. If having a Volvo logo is too much of an insult to your masculinity, I think you could pop both of the badges off (one on each side) and put new rivets in to plug up the holes (but don't hold me to that). This is a nice luggage box and is in good shape. Will come with at least one key for the locking mechanism - will also throw in the spare if I can find it. $150.
