NFR: Vintage Svea123R backpacking stove...*REDUCED*
These classic brass stoves have enjoyed a surge in popularity of late and are well known for their reliability, cold weather and high altitude functioning. I have acquired several of various types and have been rebuilding them to their original glory. This stove runs like a blow torch and has many new parts that are necessary for safe operation if one is to use these old stoves. This stove will run great with no further work. Own a classic brass stove made in Sweden. I am just trying to recover the cost of what I have invested in this stove. $75 firm. Send PM. I prefer not to ship but I will if you pay the cost.
FWIW...I like to keep one of these classic white gas stoves in my rig when I go fishing just to heat a small pot of water for soup, tea or coffee.
Here is a link to a video of this actual stove burning. It is the stove on the left, the one on the right is an Optimus 99. You can see that the Svea is more efficient at heating the fuel tank and, subsequently, burns with much more force. The Optimus will eventually get there but it takes longer.
