I had the pleasure of getting our very own Chris Johnson and Russell Bassett from the Native Fish Society out for a little North Fork float in early August.

My thought is that we should have a little Copper Hog Beer Clave Celebration for our new Native Fish Society Nooksack River Steward, Chris Johnson.

He has been on the hunt to be the NFS Nooksack River Steward for a while…and now, it’s a done deal.

How about Wednesday, September 1st.

I’ll be there about 5pm on the patio with a cold IPA.

Congratulations Chris!

Hey Ed, What about Brett's Bar-B-Q?

Uh-Oh.

After a great deal of pondering along with some Gin and Juice, I came to the following conclusions:

1) The fish are more important
2) I'm used to sleeping in the dog house
3) You have to be told about an engagement you are expected to go to
4) Lagunitas Lill Sum Thin Sum Thin is the best IPA I've had in a long time ptyd (this should also clarify things for Stilly Stalker although it is a fine idea)
5) It's been too long since I've seen all you guys
6) I wanna hear about the junk show from Ryan as it's opening day of Bowhunting deer and grouse season
7) I have to live vicariously through you guys about catching fish because all I've seen for the last seven months is whitewater

All that being said, I'll have to check out about 6:10pm or have the nuts handed to me by the misses.

Count me in, too, Ed. Way to go Chris! I've been home a total of eleven days this summer. It was rough having to fish in Alaska and B.C. for two months. Back to "reality" tomorrow. Go Mariners? Seahawks? How about Sonics or Viking football? Oh what he hell, go Sox.
