The rod is now sold
For sale is a new Winston Air2 590 fly rod. This rod is unregistered and has never seen the water. I bought the rod new and have lawn casted it for about an hour. That's it, no other use. This is a terrific fly rod; based on my lawn casting, it handled SA Amplitude Trout, SA Sharkwave, and Rio Gold with aplomb. The rod has a smooth progressive action with plenty of reserve power.
So why am I selling, you ask. Well, as the old saying goes, there's no accounting for taste --> I still prefer earlier Winston 5-weight rods (pre-IM6, IM6 and WT). Consequently, the Air2 would see limited use. It should be fished, hard. Hence, the sale.
The attached photos corroborate the rod's as-new condition. Asking price is $700 which includes free USPS Priority Mail shipping to your door. PayPal preferred; I'll pick up the fees.
As a practical matter, I am open to reasonable offers from forum members. Any questions, please ask.
