Took a drive down the canyon yesterday. There is still a lot of bank ice from about mile post 10 down stream. Luma Creek launch looks usable from the road.

Some fishermen (the two furry ones) are not bothered by the snow and ice. Those otters are fish catching machines.

About a week ago my son said he saw an otter as we were traveling the canyon to Yakima. I guess he was correct. I have never seen a otter on the Yakima. I've seen mink before but never otter. The bald eagles are back again and always beautiful to watch. The big horn sheep and deer are coming down to the river as winter closes in. Winter is the best time for watching wildlife in the Yakima canyon.
