I am looking to go somewhere next week. I might end up in your neck of the woods. I have a new truck that needs some miles on the odometer and a dog that needs to find some grouse.

Last year on our annual opening week of pheasant hunting in Choteau (opens the 9th this year) It was 2 degrees with 3 inches of snow over Rogers Pass! Freezeout Lake was already frozen and we couldn't launch the boat on the Missouri as the ramps were frozen ice! So it can happen that early at least in your neck of the woods! I'll be in Winthrop the 1st through 3rd for grouse and quail-so I'm also available to hunt with any of you! Rick
