Thanks for the "heads up"Just a heads up on Omak. There has been a massive slide on the road around the lake with a resultant road closure. It will be some time before the road from north to south will be open again.
Dang, guess I'll just hit Green Lake. Oh well, it's pretty much the same.Just a heads up on Omak. There has been a massive slide on the road around the lake with a resultant road closure. It will be some time before the road from north to south will be open again.
Matt, I don't want to discourage you from Green but it was killed last winter so the fishing my be a little on the slow side. It's too bad people dump countless gold fish in these kind of lakes. The illegal release of spiny rays is bad enough, but at least they are a game fish. Gold fish can wreck a fishery. It's unfortunate if people can't/won't take care of their pets that they can badly damage an ecosystem. Should be more of a crime and greatly enforced. Anyway, I'm on a tangent.Dang, guess I'll just hit Green Lake. Oh well, it's pretty much the same.
I agree those exotic invasive goldfish in a pristine lake like Greenlake are just a down right shame. Besides I have yet to perfect my flake fly to the point that they take it on a regular basis.Matt, I don't want to discourage you from Green but it was killed last winter so the fishing my be a little on the slow side. Displaced by the landslide, no doubt. There were like 30 people fishing green lake when I passed it the other day, way more than I usually see.
