I am looking to trade some fly fishing gear for an Orvis DRX Tarpon fly reel 11/12 for my 7wt 12' 9" spey rod. Anybody out there have any info on this reel? Good or bad, I wanna know. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i think what youre looking for is a DXR reel... i believe it was offered in a type 3 hard anodize, so as far as durability goes, it should be bomb proof. dont know much else about it.

lamson made those reels for orvis. they have the Battenkill drag in them.
