Hi hopefully someone will be able to help me find out some details on this little reel I just came across while looking for a smaller Orvis CFO reel ....It has Orvis made in USA, Green Mountain#1 engraved on one side plate, and it appears to be an old reel kept in Exc. condition ...........Any information, appreciated...anyone ever use one..... Yay or Nay? Thanks Mike

Bingo That sure looks like it without the metal.... Are these reels decent reels to use, wonder what year these were made...... Thank You Mike
It should work fine as a trout reel but is not similar to a CFO in design.

Reading through this, now I'm thinking late seventies early eighties. Check it out, it's a fun read and lots of information.
