I've had some talks with my rep from Camp Chef, also spoke with Cee Dub (from Dutch Oven cooking shows) and think I may try my hand at doing a few to get my feet wet. I'd be interested in who would be willing to participate in a few?

I'm thinking of doing a few different ones. Maybe a basic starter course for those who simply crack open pork and beans for meals, then doing them all the way up to advanced. Even do a "cooking for crowds" one as well. Just checking to see what the interest would be. Mind you, these would be free, or if I do charge it would be for supplies only. Would do basic dutch oven cooking, cooking with flattops, etc etc etc. Some of the more advanced would be shortcuts for bigger camps, etc.

So, who'd be interested? I put this up on facebook, got a great response there. Just checking to see who may be interested here. Probably won't do anything until the REAL spring (though it feels like it today, just got back in from feeding the animals, kinda cold still LOL).

Ok, cool guys. Nice to see there is some interest. I'll think about a game plan and then get back to you all in the upcoming months.

Jerry, this is something that I'm interested in. Maybe even host an event at my Oroville property with some spring lake fishing or fall bird hunting thrown in.
I could easily do that. :)

BTW, I'd be up for just cooking at your get togethers Roper. Just depends on when it is (have a pretty busy schedule with kids 4H and FFA). Know alot of guys more want to eat then they'd want to learn. LOL.

Jerry, when you bring that event to the east side I want a front row seat. Perhaps we'll have to chum you a bit with a promise of some good fishing.......

I like that idea. Take that show on the road. Not like the normal thing you see at sportsman shows etc. But the real deal. How about a bunch of outdoor cooking buffs doing their thing at some place like the Sandy Clave?

Well, I've been courted to do the FFF conclave in Ellensburg. The shows have to keep it low key. Would be way too expensive to cook for everyone (and too hard since they're showing small amounts like you'd cook in camp). I've done some big camps though. :)
