Anyone fished any of the Gulf Islands? I used to go to Pender Island every year for Memorial Day weekend, but I never fished. I am going again at the end of the month and am wondering if anyone has fished there. I know the easily accessed areas of the north and south island. One area on the north island is adjacent to an oyster bed in a big harbor. I would think that there could be some good SRC action there. Thanks for any info.

Can you say rockfish? I have not fished at Pender but have fished many other rocky spots in the San Juan & Gulf Islands. You can get both rockfish and greenlings. Really don't know about the oyster beds & SRC's up there but it would certainly be worth a shot.

I know that there is good SRC fishing from Salt Spring Island beaches (which is right next to Pender), so I suspect you'd do alright on the beaches of Pender.
