Went out this morning later than intended - hit the water at 8:30. At the parking lot I talked to a few gear guys coming off the beach who said they didn't see any fish taken in the early am hours. I fished 3 hours and had 2 small shaker coho (6", 9") to hand. The breeze really started blowing from the south about 10:30 necessitating a move around to the north side of the point. Didn't see any other salmon hooked except for the one taken by a guy trolling flashers about 100 yd out. Still, it was nice to get out on the beach, see the muirs, gulls, rhinoceros auklets, seals, dolphins, and other assorted fauna. Avoiding a skunk and not catching any bullhead was an added bonus. Now its off to the tying table to refresh my beach box after realizing all the flies I was lacking this morning.
