Took my son out this morning to try for some silver action. Great day as we both had the day off, but alas, fishing was real slowwww.
Some rolling but none taking. Water color was fine. What gives? Is the big push late or what? Anyone doing any good in the salt?

Mike

Not sure the difference between a Hatchery or Native Fish?

Tell your wife her Diamond Ring is really Cubic Zirconium.

Well, normally the big push for silvers/kings are in Aug/Sept. You're a bit late. You'll have chums coming in Nov/Dec. October is a slow month on the Puy. Not sure on upper river though, I normally have always fished the lower river below confluence. You will catch some, but October has always been a slow month on the Puy. Checked my logs, and we pretty much stopped fishing the Puy around mid Sept. When river was open year around, we'd hit silvers/kings as early as first of August. That was back in the 70's.
