Heading east at the end of the month- used to hit Quail hard and it had big fish but it has been a few yrs. Used to have to walk in- apparently you can drive up to it now? Anyone been there this summer? I recall lots of pan fish but trout were a little more difficult to find if you wanted to avoid the power-baiters...

Probably pretty hot and mossed over this time of year. I understand that the seep lakes have struggled in recent years. I think there are still nice fish to be found but fewer and fewer of them.

Send a report if you decided to head over.

Good luck.

As with any of the lowland lakes you should probably leave them alone until the fall and the water cools down. Also, I believe that is a fly fish only lake, if you see powerbaiters there ever you should call them in. As for how it fishes? I haven't been there for years, but have heard it is in a down time. I think this fall Lenice is going to be good.

Quail is still a walk in, however you can paddle up Herman and then just a 100 yds. or so portage over to Quail. Has been a little slow , probably best fishing in the seeps are some of the larger for bass, spiney rays, etc. Pretty hot weather last few weeks for most of the Seeps.
