I stopped by Patrick's Fly Shop on Saturday. Jimmy Lemert and John Farrar put their heads together and placed an order for some really nice winter steelhead flies with stinger hooks. The flies arrived late last week. I bought a dozen and one scored this bull trout on the Skagit on Monday.

Looks like the same lifeless stuff that you see for $4 a pop, at every other shop in the northwest.

Agreed. I don't know who I encountered both times I've been in this shop, but the guy that was in there was rude, ungrateful and seemed pissed off and rushed the entire time I was there.

Interesting experiences! I have only been to Patrick's Fly Shop maybe 6-8 times in the last three years. However, all of my experiences have been positive.
