I recently got a fly tying book and in it, they used Oral B ultra floss for the gills. I was wondering if any of you have used it before. I bought some and tied a few up and it looks really good with that as the gills for Chironomids.

That's a great idea. I always fight with the poly yarn and even white antron on smaller 'mids. It always seems to bind up under my beads.

The other one question I have is what is Micro Fibits? I have seen some people use them on Chironomids also for the wing case and I just don't know what they are.

They're generally used for tying tails on mayflys.
