I am purchasing an aluminum drift boat and I have a few questions that maybe someone can help me with, hopefully?
1. The inside is pretty scratched and stained up, is there a simple way to repaint it? How much would it cost to have someone else paint it? Who does that? Also, I googled this question, and one link mentioned Rhino lining/LineX'ing the boat's interior. Anyone with any experience with that?
2. The platform which one stands on, (which is raised), has a plastic stretched (and glued) over Plywood (maybe marine plywood), and it's rotted. When I stepped into the boat it basically broke and needs to be replaced (insert fat joke here) bawling:, what is a good replacement material? Diamond plate? More marine plywood?

Thanks for your help?

sounds like a Koffler?
If so, the floor is really easy to replace. Diamond plate is expensive-I did mine with wood and glued new rubber over it. Worked great.
Yes you can paint the inside, pressure wash it. It wouldnt bother me to leave it alone.
How about a photo?

I've seen aluminum diamond plate floors in some of the newer Kofflers. If it is a Koffler call Joe and get a price. You'd have to get the boat to Eugene, but they are a great family to work with.

Agree with Kirk, don't coat it, as it will effect the re-sale value. Sounds like it was stored outdoors uncovered for it to rot like that. Personally, if I'd recommend the diamond plate, looks good and you won't have to mess with it again. Im sure there are some metal fabrication outfits here in WA that could do the repairs/modifications fairly easily and inexpensively.

I like wood, it's quieter,(is that a word?). Unless your are real fastidious, you don't NEED to paint the inside
