Found this version with the deer hair PFD on the Southsound Flyfishers site. Simple enough to modify this for other hatches.

hook - TMC 5215 #6
thread - UTC 140 yellow
rib - Uni-Stretch yellow
tail/abdomen - ostrich herl grey
thorax - deer hair yellow
wing - deer hair
hackle - grizzly dyed yellow (1tbs Rit yellow/1 cup water)

mash barb, start thread at 1/2 mark, tie in rib, wrap to bend

measure (shank length) some ostrich herl; tie in

wrap herl to 1/2 mark; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib; tie off/trim

clean/trim tips on a clump of deer hair, tie in with 2 soft loops, tighten/allow deer hair to spin around shank; trim to shape

clean, stack, measure (shank length) a clump of deer hair, trim to length; tie in with butts against thorax, wrap to eye

tie in hackle

wrap hackle, tie off/trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN
