Hi all. I have a 14 foot zodiac style boat and would like to expand it's capabilities to include floats. Of course I wouldn't use it anywhere that has technical white water, just a couple of easy rivers that I would like to take a friend or the kids on. I was thinking of buying a rafting frame for it. I assume I would need to add some d-rings as well. Has anyone tried this? I'm wondering what companies make adjustable or custom frames.

I have a 10' Avon sport boat. (removable wood floor and wood transom). It is setting in a bag in my garage. I bought it way back in 77, when I had a float plane, and used it when I would anchor out, or just wanted to explore some island in the inland passage. Physically there is nothing wrong with the boat, (maybe a slow leak, from an old patch, that could be fixed), but that thing is just super stable.

What is the down side of using it as a drift boat? (I know either I am getting weaker, or it is getting heavier, but other than weight). ?
Last time I used it was some 5 years ago to get into some chuckar along the snake river.

I would buy some decent oars, and a better seat to row from.
