Rattlesnake Creek?

2137 Views 12 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Old Man
Never been to RSnake Cr. Just got a little rod from Cabelas (being bought out by BPS... needed to burn up my gift cards) itching to try it on a small creek. Anyone had any experience there this time of year? Not trolling for secrets just wondering if it might be worth the drive from the west side before it closes at the end of the month...

There is a lot of skinny water here on the wet side to explore. I like the area over there off of 410 but you certainly have opportunities closer to home.

With this weather, you'll likely have to wait a while.
Are you all afraid of a little rain. When I lived in Washington, you had to fish in the rain and snow. Because if you wait for good weather you didn't go fishing.:p:p:p

OMJ - Those who have fished with me quite a bit know that rain / snow does not keep me off the water. The weather prediction is A LOT of rain with gusts that may go to 60-70. I was the only one that camped at Lenice a couple of years back on the opener - when it snowed and dropped to 15 degrees during the night. Fished in snow on the lake.

I can vouch for this as our day on DF last November is still fresh in my memory.:D

Rain is okay, it's the 50 mph gusts that tend to make a cast go "off the mark".

Apparently, you need to practice the "Chuck -n- Duck" method more.

Not that I've never done that, or others haven't done it to me, but that one was just a Google Images photo.

Oh believe me...

I've never, ever done that! :p

I have a tiny spot in the back of my head, that doesn't grow hair anymore, thanks to a #4 Golden Stone.

This is one of the reasons for going barbless.
