It's funny how in the PNW many, if not most, anglers hope to match the hatch even though steelhead don't live here, nor do chinook, coho, etc. The traditional Salmo salar ties are gorgeous, don't need them for steelhead or PNW salmon but they'll certainly work. Maybe because the fish want to get a closer look, or taste?
