I bought this rod as an entry level rod and I have caught many steelhead and salmon on it. It has performed very well considering its retail price. I do not have a line on the reel so you'll have to load the reel, but this deal includes a $50.00 rod/reel case. The rod is a 2-piece, 8 wt. rod 9 feet in length, and the reel is rated for 7/8/9 wt. lines.
