Well I have one but it's not available. Really don't need it to start tying . I tied on a simple cheap Thompson A vice for 15 years before I bought the Traveller. Had it 21 or 22 years now.

I'd get a Griffin Montana Mongoose over at FlyFish food. Best vise in that price range. They sell for 185$ and it comes with hackle gauge, decent bobbin and a very nice travel case. It holds hooks insanely well and there is no need to drop extra money on different "jaws" just to tie on larger hooks or midge sizes. A 2 sec thumb adjustment and you go from size 3/0 down to size 26. Its REALLY nice. The material holder is also incredibly useful.
