I am in no hurry to switch to rubber soles but, based on the great service I have received from Simms in the past, I thought they might provide a resoling serice from felt to rubber. Once again Simms has its act together. They don't resole boots themselves, but on their web site they have a list of qualified cobblers who can install rubber soles on felt boots.

Hi Don,

That is great news. Thank you for sharing. I have some older felt boots that I have semi-retired. If I have them resoled with vibram soles, I'll have something for trips to those few locations that require them at present.
