Thanks everyone, I've talked about doing this for a few years now. The freedom to do what you want when you want will be priceless. Glenda and I have worked hard to pay off all our debt so we're in great shape.
Fishing, hunting, woodworking, landscaping ( mowing), and learning to homebrew...plenty to do for sure.
Th Spring Fling is right around the corner...Pass Lake Saturday morning...
Good for you Roper. The first few months are strange for lack of a better term. Steve might be an exception but for myself and a few others I know we couldn't just stop working after 50 or so years. It took a few months for me to stop getting up at 5 in the morning and putting in my 10 or 12. A couple years later and things are pretty laid back around here. I stay busy, sort of, but nothing has a deadline and if it doesn't get done today there is still tomorrow and the day after or when I get back from the river.
Congrats Roper! My wife called the Buckley's and left a message that said : Hey Bill, Roper said to say Hi! Bill called back wondering how the heck she knew you! I'm clocking out at 10 for the last time tomorrow and several of us from PSD are going down to the Diamond Knot in Mukilteo for lunch...you are more than welcome to join in!
