How much 20# backing? Bought this gem but cannot find any backing capacity information. I have had the 106M which was 100yds. Thinking 150 but wanted to ask because maybe someone has the info. This is for 6/7 weight rod but might put on a 7 or 8 weight line on it. Thanks.

The 106m is equivelant to a 1525 so I would think the 108m is the 1535

Well crap!
Hold the coiled fly line from the manufacturer's spool in your hand. It will take up about half that much space on the reel, fill the rest with backing.

So that's how you do it, seems logical.

Best way when it's unknown the reel's capacity is to put fly line and backing on backwards then take it all off and put it on correctly.
