I am ignorant to the rare Sage LL rods. I have 14 Sage 'LL rods, many pristine. I am a fan of slow/medium action rods. I have a friend in Japan and obtained many rods from him. I have two Sage LL 581. Is there any other rare combinations? The 581 is listed as a common offering. I do have a Eddie Bauer Special Edition that a famous rod maker, forget the name, came in the factory and built the rod. There is no B after description because it was made in factory. The guides are gold color. I ask because I am thinking of selling my doubles. One 690 was on display at OGFA museum.
Thank you

When you state the 581's come up as common rods are you talking about coming up in catalogs, databases of some sort, etc? Some of those Japanese market LL rods you mentioned come up on the devil's flea market and are great little rods when you can get reasonable shipping. Those 581's though....mmmm.
