I have a similar stick, a 690-5 SP with fighting butt, and these are awesome fishing sticks. Touch with power - I've used it from trout to bass to steelhead. One fine day on the Stilly I hooked up 8 summer (fall) steelhead with 3 to hand using this stick. I hooked up some chums, too, but snapped them off, as I like my rod a 5 piece, not a 7 piece.
