SFR. I went to the Day on the River yesterday and after, scooted down to the Issaquah Salmon Days festival. Aside from the crowd, I was really encouraged to see the number of Kings at the hatchery. To date, they had collected nearly 2 million eggs and several spawning days to go. They had also released nearly 700 fish upstream to spawn naturally. Given our poor Coho season so far, it looks as though the Kings will continue to be strong , at least in that particular fishery. There were lots of big fish below the hatchery, waiting to go up or spawn naturally there as well.
