Salmon's great. Lot's of steelhead, close to great whitewater, and incredibly beautiful. Buy a MT license, as your close to many great streams on that side.
Salmon Idaho area
Looking at some retirement, part-time property to spend May-September in about 3 years. Appears to be a nice area and was wondering if anyone can give me the pro/con of the area. Fishing & rafting a must, others of lesser importance.

Never skied up there but the hill and snow look good. Not positive but i'd guess the property tax is Les less than WA due to ID income tax. We only rented in WA so no frame of reference. it probably balances out to about the same overall.
