I recently purchased a Scadden Predator Lo Pro specifically to fish lakes that were "Off Road". An example is Lake Lenice in Grant county WA. Access requires a 1/2 mile hike that is restricted to non motorized traffic.

After unpacking the boat, oars, pump motor mount etc. It was clear to me I needed something to transport all this "stuff". Has anybody built, bought, etc. a devise that they thought was a good solution?

The total weight is about 35 pounds. The lonest item is the oars, broken in sections about 36" long. The boat itself rolls into a 32-36" wide by 18 " diameter before inflation. The foot pump is about 12" diameter and 6" height.

Inflated the boat is about 8' long 4 ft. wide and 20 inches tall with tubes, seat and cargo pockets.

Has anybody any ideas how to transport it . I have a 1/2 mile hike into Lenice Lake, Grant County WA. A Scadden video clips show a boat on a pull type golf cart but the cart does not have all the parts. plus it doesn't include rod takle and all the "other stuff"

Look for a two wheel "canoe/kayak cart" that you can adapt to fitting your Predator.
https://www.amazon.com/kayak-cart-wheels/s?k=kayak+cart+wheels

I had a single wheel on an X5 that Scadden sells/used to sell and it was tippy prone to one side or the other.

But then comes the issue of what to do with the cart while you are on the water. :(

Well, I can think of several methods to make it robber proof. 1) attach a long line and drag the cart into the water, 2) drive a stake into the ground and attach a chain, 3) chain to some vegetation, preferably a tree, 4) chain the wheels so they don't roll, 5) stay within shooting distance and pop off a few rounds of my snake gun, 6) lastly hide a small charge of C-4 in the axel and trigger it if the wheels roll LOL

Frankly I couldn't build or buy a cart that someone couldn't steal if they really wanted it. Hopefully fishers aren't that type of people.

I bought the frameless boat because it was light. With all the stuff that goes with it, I couldn't back pack it into any areas since I'm 78 Y O and not in great shape. LOL

Thinking of this

Ron, since I'm not a golfer, where do I start looking for a used goft bag cart. Do you push or pull it? I suspect pulling is better to steer with it. Did you lengthen the handle or make any mods other than the wood support. Does it fit between the pontoons or do the pontoons rest on the cross member?

Thanks Tipsdeep. I have thought of that too but my boat, or at least mine , seems too large to roll up to a frame then adding the oars, pump, seat ,anchor, etc. plus fishing gear to too large a load I wish to carry. I've been looking at YouTube videos and developing a plan for a PVC cart of some type. Luckily, I have a junk pile of wheels and left over PVC pipe that I can salvage. I did find a bike shop that had salvaged 20" bike wheels with old tires that I bought for about $20. My first attempt at a cart will be with 14" plastic spokes wheel off an old pressure washer.

I have a local pond (Texas Pond near Darrington WA) that I can drive right up to the shore, so I'll start there then expand to longer access trails to fishing spots. All the good fishing lakes seem to be in eastern WA. That's over 150 miles east of me. The further the hike into the lake the better the possibility of good fishing.

The irony of my fishing experience is the fact that while I have fished since the 70's, it was all for steelhead. That didn't require any knowledge of insects, matching a hatch etc. I am starting over from Zero when I fish for trout..... so while I can cast OK, lake fishing is NEW to me. All the new friends I have met in the Evergreen Fly Club suggest that I travel to BC to fish lakes there for larger trout. That will be new to me plus crossing the border into then out of BC is a hassle with covid tests etc.
