Has anyone glued on a Scotty anchor mount #341 with the Scotty anchor lock #241 on Dave Scadden's Preditor frameless pontoon boat. What would be the best adhesive to use? I've heard Stabond works well. Any advise would much appreciated.

I have a Scadden Renegade. I have glued on a rod holder, a D ring, and a mount for a triple rod holder. But I always strap on my Scotty anchor mount. I am worried that if I glue it on, and the anchor gets stuck in mud, brush or rocks, I might put too much pressure on the glued on mount. For all glue applications I have used Locktite Flexible Vinyl Adhesive. It has worked very well. I am sure that Staybond would do the job also.

I had a Scadden Assault at one point and used Stabond to attach the Scotty mounts. I have used the Scotty anchor on my float tube with the strap on mount and it has a tendency to spin some so did not like it. I don't think you could pull off the mount after Stabond if you wanted to do that.

Panther & Wayne gave you solid advise. I've glued on everything possible on Watermasters, Waterstriders & and now a Renegade. Remember that these rafts are not suited for anchoring in fast water...more like slower than walking speed and shallow water. Keep a knife close by just in case! I prefer Stay bond: over 50 degrees ( learned the hard way ), rough up the surfaces with 320 grit...remove the 'sheen', apply glue to both surfaces, let dry and apply a second coat on both, wait until it's 'Tacky" and glue it on ( fully inflated ). Wayne is correct, you'll never be able to remove it, so mock it up exactly where you want it to be. Rubbing alcohol works good for prepping the surfaces.

Thanks all for input....Got my Predator from Dave and found that I could use my strap on Scotty anchor mount that I use on my Rampage. Called Dave to let him know I was missing the seat and he said he would send one out right away which I did receive a week later. I reminded Dave of our pre order conversation that I would need the glue on anchor mount and the strap on would not work. His reply was that he forgot this year's Predator had a new design allowing the strap on. I love Dave, he's always entertaining, yet keeps you guessing!
