Searching For A Top Notch Rod Builder:

I've received a couple of Sage RPL blanks and am interested in finding a true craftsman who may want to build a rod for me. I really don't have a clue as to what can be considered "fair" for fees but as expected, do a little checking around. I'm willing to track down the guides, handle, reel seat, even thread color.

If you're truly interested, PM me; I'd appreciate it if you were able to provide a little rod-building background about yourself and possibly include some photos of your work???? Thanks!

I don't know if he has PM'd you or not, but Tyler Speir is the man when it comes to rod building. He does beautiful work. I have one of his rods and plan to get more in the future.
Go to rodbuildingforum.com
My two favorite builders are:
Whirnot
George M
Look in the gallery section.

Whirnot's web page is http://rffr.biz/rod_gallery.htm
Bill does some great rodss IMO clean but with pizzaz
In southern Oregon two come to mind as they are well known for their rods/designs/builds: R B Meiser rods and Gary Anderson aka 'ACR' (Anderson Custom Rods). Have several of their builds and they're flawless. Both have web sites if you want to look them up. In either case, you WILL get exactly what you bargained for.

Jimmy Clarckson in Chico, CA. He's built several fiberglass and graphite rods for me. Flawless work and always reasonable. He used to build rods for Powell rods back when there was Powell family members involved in the company.
I would be more then happy to help you out with your Sage RPL problem.:)
As far as my back ground on rod building goes. I been building rods for about 10 years now, from hobby work to a full time job. As far as finnish work goes I would put my work up aginst anyone out there. I might charge more then some others but you get what you pay for.
If you need more info you can shoot me a PM.
