Had some fun last Wedn afternoon. Seduced one of these about every 12 minutes, with some help from the red-lipped Cookie Girl. About half of 'em were "2-pounders."
You won't find me sitting inside my parked Subaru in my own driveway wearing a blindfold this coming Tuesday afternoon. Nope, me and the Cookie Girl will be out on the lake. Tally Ho!
Cookie Girl is cherry-lipped and chocolate/chocolate mint : 3x straight-eye streamer hook (tmc 9395 size 8), medium red glass bead, black thread, brown marabou tail, long Chocolate brown saddle hackle tied in tip first, medium Chocolate Mint New Age Chenille body. I counter-wrap the palmered hackle with the thread. Wrap 'er up and take 'er to the lake for a swim. She likes to cruise slowly, just above the bottom.
Mine is orange lipped, in baby poop green/brown, but it has been my go to pattern lately. @troutpocket tied them balanced and inspired me to do the same.
