I know this has been posted before in several different threads but I'm just going to remind those of us who've hit the "golden years" (meaning 62 or above) that a good deal is still to be had on a cheap pass (which lasts your lifetime) that allows access to a number of areas under federal management.

The Senior Interagency or America the Beautiful pass is currently only $10 but the price will jump to $80 on August 28. It's currently one of the best deals going! I just used mine a couple of days ago for a hike in Olympic National Park.

Here's more info on the pass and its benefits: https://store.usgs.gov/senior-pass

So get yours before it's too late and you have to cough up more of that hard earned money!

they are kicking up the price next year to$90, get it now! The " golden age pass has saved me more money than I can count. You probably don't realize it but to go into our national forests requires a pass....covered....Kitty Hawk, about $50....covered....Yellowstone...covered, Carlesbad, about $50....covered....a lot of states (not Washington) give you half off on your camping......all corps of engineers camp sites are half off.....grand canyon......covered.....there are so many that I can't remember.

Agreed, a great deal at the current 10$ price and not even bad at the 80$ price if you use it just a few times.
Here's some additional info.

I live in Montana and I don't need all them passes. I don't go into the National Parks. I don't like crowds.
Jim - some of the "blue lines" are on National Forest lands, no crowds and skinny water and I got my $10 lifetime pass. (I might be a bit frustrated if I turned 62 a few days after the price increase but then, that's water long under the bridge).

Got ours a few months ago... cheap access for life! Even at the increased price, these are still a super value if you travel and visit the nations many national parks. Also, I thought OMJ gave up fly fishing... well, there was like 200 pages discussing it anyway. :D
