Preston and I went to the beach. We saw no pink or chum fry. The dollies liked our poppers anyway. Here's one that Preston caught.

I've never caught a dolly in the salt. Kool.
they are pretty easy to catch larry if you are targeting them. Keith Robbins and the guys from Creekside in seattle usually get quite a few, including some big ones.
Just like in fresh water. They eat fish.

:thumb: A fishing buddy recently took me to his "speciial" Dolly Vardon estuary and I was able to land a few on an olive/white Clouser Minnow. At the end of the day I tried a topwater baitfish pattern and had one strike. I should have used it early when the fish were more active.

P.S. Leland should post a picture of the huge Dolly Varden which he caught a few years ago in saltwater. It would make grown men drool all over their keyboard!
