I tie a lot of segmented foam-body dry flies, varying the size and color for the Stonefly hatches in the Western US. Peacock herl underbody, Coastal Deer hair wing. Great on its own and supports a dropper well.

Yes, it also works as a hopper pattern.
Considering a dark rib to accentuate the segments...peacock like the underbody?
Can you shoot a pic from below? If you use a peacock rib it will disappear into the underbody from below. For contrast from below, perhaps some orange or yellow floss against the peacock. Who cares about contrast from the top?
Size 4-8 depending on the specific Stonefly. Salmonflys in 4, Skwalas in 8, Golden and Summer Stones on 6.

What size hook are you tying those on?
