SKAGCOMP540

I got a Hardy Golden Prince 9/10 reel on ebay the other day-it is a beauty btw; and it was lined with what was marked: SKAGCOMP540. I am unfamiliar with this designation and thought someone here could enlighten me. I did a search but came up empty. What is the advantage of this kind of line? Is it something newish? Would this work well with my 10 foot 9 weight rod?
Thanks in advance for any help.

"Skagit Compact 540 grains"?
It's a shooting head (likely Airflo) designed for two handed rods and spey casting. It might work on your single hander since it's a 9wt but likely it's a bit heavy. Skagit compact 540 grains

It won't hurt to just try this line on your rod.
