WOW, something I've been waiting on for some time - the Skagit River is finally dropping to more normal summer flow! I was beginning to think the flows would remain high all summer but it's dropped below MEAN overnight into today. What happened, did our southern neighbors finally get their generators back on-line? :DEVIL

Granted it was a high snowpack year. Still a 4,000 cu.ft. drop, roughly 45%, over a 36 hr. period; I suspect there is more to it than that. Whatever, it's good to see some familiar gravel bars. Sure makes wading easier...

Agreed. I was a little worried about src fishing this August with the high flows. Good to see things getting back to normal. I suppose the dams can't gradually slow the flow. I would guess they dump water until they reach the desired level they stop.
