I've caught smallmouths incidentally in Goodwin. Got into a few of them on the deeper edges of shallow flats across from the state park trolling buggers in May/June. I've seen Bassin' Guys pull some real nice ones out on summer evenings skipping jigs under docks. Watch out for the ski boats and jet skis when the weather gets nice.

what do i know, im just a stupid kid

check it out in the late evenings on the rocky flats. smallies like to chase brightly clad surface patterns as well as subsurface stuff. give it a try, they sure are fun. dont be surprised if you hook up with something substantial. i tagged a 6lb smallie (i got the pics to prove it)several years ago.
