Hit the salt this weekend for the first time in too long. Headed out in the boat on Saturday afternoon. Cruised around with a few hits but nothing to hand. We missed the tide and we knew it, but it was fun to be on the water anyway. Headed out Sunday morning and got into some nice cutthroat. A couple bigger fish - one 14 incher to the boat and two larger ones lost, but mostly smaller fish than I usually see. Marabou clouser was the fly of the day, although they ate pretty much anything.

Milt, thanks for asking. No, out in a friend's boat this weekend. The new old wood boat took the back seat to a few other things this spring - mostly spending time sailing instead of working on her. She's just about to go in the water - tonight or tomorrow maybe. I'll post some pictures.

Fished Case Inlet late Saturday. Agree with Mike T. Small Clousers, and fish were a little deeper until right before dark. Seems to be the case on these sunny, warm days. Big tide run out mid-day didn't help. We got a few nice cutts to the boat late on the incoming.

I got out last night (Tues) for a hour.
Got one 12 incher on a tiny clouser, then changed
to a very large green over white clouser from Mr.
Stonefish to nail a beauty of 17 inches (it was a
hell a fight).
