This weekend Project Healing Waters was hosted by the Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers at Pooh's Pond in Port Angeles. The JBLM, Seattle VA, and Compass House programs were in attendance. Was a fantastic weekend. Lots of fish were caught, lots of stories shared, and lots of smiles on some deserving vets.
Only those of us in the JBLM program stayed the night. All I consider friends and most are on WFF. We did some more fishing last night, had dinner, and had drinks around the campfire well into the evening. Ended by a big breakfast this morning around the campfire followed by a little more fishing. Was a good weekend with some great folks, plus was good for the soul.
Now time to spend the rest of the day with the rest of my family. Happy Father's Day everyone.
