The Spokane river in April can be unfishable and in poor shape due to melting snow. In may not be as bad this year, but you will want to check ahead of time to see what type of condition the river is in before trying to fish it. Steve or Jan at the Blue Dun fly shop in Spokane can give you this information and any other info you need to fish the river. Steve fishes it all the time and knows the river as well as anybody. I'd stop by there or call ahead and let them know your plans. If you cannot fish it at that time, there are other options available that you can explore in the Spokane area. They can help you out with those as well. Good luck.
