If I had a decision like that I would go out and shoot myself.

It's like me thinking as to what river I should hit. The Beaverhead or the Big Hole. Now if I just had a little get up and go. But I'm just to damn lazy.

NorCal51, that is a good dilemma to have. You know full well that either is a great choice that many of us wish we could be forced to make today for our fishing outing tomorrow.

Pan's been bitching about catching big dud steelhead and he still favors that over the potential excitement of stalking wild, vibrant and active trout with a light line? Maybe a break from the steelhead for a day would reinvigorate, rejuvinate and recalibrate? If I could catch steelhead, even duds, I might agree with you. Trout in moving water is a new and exciting chapter in my fishing story.

I chose the Joe, the clear and its steel will be there all winter, the Joe fished spectacular. took the road from st regis over the saddle. I proceed to fish about 12 different spots from the skinny water well down below Avery. The quality of the fish was way better below Avery than above. tons of bugs coming off all day. great weather and lots of fish to hand, what a great day. Gave up on matching the hatch when i figured out they were still eating hoppers and Chernobyl ants. which led to bigger fish. thanks for the input.
