If we treated them like the Pirates of old there would less of these posts and more days fishing. Taking a mans boat is almost as bad as taking his tools and substantially worse than taking his woman.

Best of luck.

Thanks for looking... the more eyes
the better chance of recovery, but
its a heavy boat that was possibly
hot wired, stuffed on a trailer and in some
dirt bags single wide being parted out.

Wholly smokes. Also, my dad was just telling me there was a 13' w/o railings and no trailer on CL for 1900 bucks.

The boat that was stolen is much newer,
and yes we have insurance but you
know how that goes...

Thanks to the moderators for keeping this on
the main page, any help is good help.

Gees Dave. That's a bummer. :( They shoot people like that don't they? I hope everything works out. Dang...
I can't remember which country, but I think they take the hand (literally) from the person who stole. Steal with the left hand and get caught, you have no left hand. Swift!

I had a hitch lock on a tool trailer of mine a few years back. It got drilled out, but didn't release so they cut the shackle. It took a dozen hacksaw blades [they left them on the ground]. But they got the trailer. I once fabricated a custom removable hitch. If you didn't bring your own hitch with a welder you wouldn't be able to steal the trailer. Should of done that for my trailer.

It is/was in various middle eastern countries. They'd cut the right hand off so you'd have to eat and wipe your rear end with the same hand ..

Dan, the boat on the Florida CL is identical
to the one stolen except the one in FL doesn't
have the bow railing and the motor is a slightly
older model than the one taken here. How do you tie
up a boat so it doesn't get stolen off the water?
Stainless 3/4 inch cable? They could cut the anchor
line...Thanks for being eyes on this.

A few years ago on the Skagit the theives would unbolt whatever and take everything. They would wait until you launched and were around a bend in the river. Then it was a matter of what ever it took to steal your trailer. Unbolt the ball, unbolt the coupler, unbolt the hitch, whatever it took.
