Does it have to be swinging? For the record, I have not caught one swinging, nymphing, or with dynamite. Just curious why you are excluding certain forms over another.:D

Actually, I'm just stirring the pot. ;)
Ha ha, well I really dont care how they were caught, gear or fly. Just haven't seen any reports. Wondering how they fight?

There have been quite a few caught, there was even an article in the Seattle Times a few weeks back about them being caught in the skagit. Highest I've heard of is near the mixer. The one I posted above fought well for it's size, put a decent bend in my buddies 9 weight spey rod and jumped multiple times.

Not good, from the two guys I talked to who have caught them in the Skagit.

Chris -
My understanding is that the Atlantic salmon are fall spawners (October to December) much like our coho. The eggs in the picture you supplied do not look like eggs that would mature in the next month.

The egg sacs to my eye look like eggs that would mature in the fall of 2018. Comparing the egg sacs with the fin in the picture those eggs (thumb size?) do not look much different what I would expect to see in an early summer steelhead (a fish likely to spawn in 7 or 8 months).
