I have a company retreat in mid August on Stuart Island. It is just for a couple of days, but was wondering if I would have a shot at some silvers. I'm not sure where I will be on the island yet and we won't have cars to get around. I'm not asking for any specifics, just want to know if it is worth trying to sneak a rod along with me. I guess we are limited to how much we can take along.

I would say yes, when I was a kid we fish silvers at east point on saturna which is close and there should be a pile of sockeye around @ that time.
